Here are some portraits of my brother; you guys will likely be seeing a lot of him now hahaha. I'm not as pleased with the second one, but they were both good practice.
Yeah, the over the shoulder composition has some really good things happening. Compositionally interesting, strong diagonals, solid mark making to develop value and volume. His neck feels a little thin, but it could just be the perspective I'm seeing. The second one isn't bad- the looseness of the textured values is new and different, the asymmetry is nice too.
